How do I sign up for Showmax?You can sign up and subscribe on the Showmax website
- Go to the Showmax website
- Select sign up
- Choose your plan
- Customise your plan
- Create your account with your email address, password and mobile number
- Verify your mobile number with the OTP
- Enter your payment method
- Start watching
If you are an existing subscriber simply just sign in using your log in credentials and add your mobile number to your profile
- How much is the standard Showmax plan?
Showmax prices start from as little as KSh300.
When signing up, you’ll be presented with all the options for Showmax Entertainment, Showmax Entertainment Mobile and Showmax Premier League Mobile.
At this point, you can decide if you want to watch on multiple devices or just on your mobile.

- What Showmax Subscription options are available?

Premier League content and Showmax entertainment content on all devices for the entertainment plan and on mobile for Premier League.- What are the differences between the "All devices" plans and the "Mobile devices" plans?
The “All devices” - Showmax Entertainment plan can be used on multiple devices and the streaming quality is HD, plus you can stream on 2 devices at the same time.
The “Mobile devices” - Showmax Entertainment Mobile and Showmax Premier League Mobile plans have certain restrictions and limitations, namely:
- Casting is not permitted (Chromecast).
- Only one registered mobile device can be active & stream/ watch content.

Showmax offers a variety of easy and convenient ways to pay. Choose the one that suits you best.

- How do I change my payment method?
To change your payment method:
- Go to Showmax.com and sign in.
- Go to Account via the top-right menu bar.
- Select Plans & Payments.
- Select Update Payment Method.
- Choose a new payment method and follow the steps.
- How do I switch plans?
In order to change to a different plan on Showmax you need remove your current payment method if you are on recurring payment and wait for the end of your current subscription's billing end date or cancel the current subscription to take up the new plan.
This refers to Showmax entertainment and Showmax Entertainment Mobile plans as the Premier League plan can be added to any subscription at any point.

- In which countries can I access Showmax?
The New Showmax will be available in the following countries
Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo (Republic of Congo), Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, eSwatini (formerly Swaziland), Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe,For now, Showmax will be unavailable in the countries listed below. Keep an eye out for updates.

- Can I use Showmax on multiple devices?
Yes - our “All devices” Showmax Entertainment plan allow you to register multiple devices and stream on two devices at the same time.
However, our “Mobile devices” Showmax Entertainment Mobile and Showmax Premier League Mobile plans allow you to watch on one mobile device only. Your first registered device used for playback is counted as your single device.

Fix a Problem
- I get an error saying that the service is unavailable in my country
If you are in a country where Showmax is available and receive this message, it means we aren't able to accurately determine your location. Try the following:
- Ensure that DNS or VPN services (e.g. UnoTelly) are disabled.
- Ensure that data compression proxy services (e.g. Google Data Saver) are disabled.
- Can I limit the amount of data used?
Yes, Showmax apps include an option to select video quality. This allows you to limit the amount of data used per hour. The "data settings" option is available on profile page on the top right menu bar and also directly in the player settings while you are watching content.
- How fast does my Internet need to be to use Showmax?
You should have a minimum download speed of 2 megabits per second (Mbps). An uncapped 4Mbps connection or faster is recommended for the best experience.
