New Showmax is here!

• No. If you are a subscriber who has had an active Showmax subscription in the last 24 months or signed-up for a Showmax account in the last 12 months, your account details will have automatically been moved onto the new Showmax app. You will have got an email or notification from us – all you have to do is download the new app or go the website and sign in again using your existing Showmax username (which will be the email address you used to set up your account) and password.
• If, however, you haven't had an active Showmax subscription in the last 24 months or haven't signed up for a Showmax account in the last 12 months, it will not have been transferred to the new Showmax platform and you will need to create a new account using the new Showmax website.

When your account was moved to the new Showmax, you will have got a link from us to download the new app. Download it and sign in with your existing Showmax username (which will be the email address you used to set up your account) and password.

The new Showmax is on a brand-new app, giving you a fresh start. This means your viewing history could not be carried across.

Yes. The new Showmax offers improved profile options to design your experience, your way. Create up to six different profiles on the new Showmax, including Kids Profiles with PIN protection.

Your downloads are now no longer available, as the new Showmax is on a brand-new app. You can still download 25 titles on the new app - and there is now a bigger content selection than ever before.

The new Showmax app and website are available in English and Portuguese.

The app will stay on your device until you remove it, but you won’t be able to use Showmax on the old app. Use the new Showmax app instead.

The DStv Add to Bill payment option is still available on the new Showmax system. DStv Premium customers will continue to receive Showmax Entertainment at no additional cost. Other packages will continue to enjoy the Add to Bill discounts with the new Showmax.

If you are a Showmax subscriber courtesy of your DStv Premium subscription (ie. if you get Showmax at no extra cost), only Showmax Entertainment is available for payment through your DStv account. If you want to add the Premier League mobile subscription separately, you are welcome to do so. We will contact you as DStv Add to Bill offers for the Showmax Premier League plan become available.
