Introduction

1. These Showmax Shikini Campaign Terms and Conditions (“the Shikini Campaign Terms”) govern your purchase of the Showmax Entertainment (Mobile or All Devices) subscription plans for the Campaign Period in Nigeria. The Shikini Campaign Terms must be read together with the Showmax Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy and the Website Terms of Use that are accessible at https://www.showmax.com which documents are incorporated into and shall together with these constitute the Agreement between yourself and Showmax.

2. The Shikini Campaign Terms will become applicable to you on the day that you purchase the Showmax Entertainment (Mobile or All Devices) Subscription Products and participate in the Shikini Campaign. By purchasing Showmax Entertainment (Mobile or All Devices) Subscription Products during the Campaign Period, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and agree to abide by and be bound by these Shikini Campaign Terms. If you do not agree to these Shikini Campaign Terms, you may not proceed with the purchase.

3. The Shikini Campaign Terms will come into effect on 28 February 2025 and endure until 31st of March 2025 (“the Campaign Period”).

4. For the purpose of these Shikini Campaign Terms, “Showmax Service” means the service offered by Showmax, which may be accessed through an application or a website and, which allows the subscriber to access Live TV, Video on-demand (VOD) film, series and kids content on their Devices.

5. “you”, “your” and “customer” refers to the person who will purchase the Shikini Campaign and subscribe to the Showmax Service by activating his or her subscription plan on https://www.showmax.com.

6. The Controller of your Personal Data for the purpose of the Shikini Campaign is MSAT Nigeria Limited, a company that operates the Showmax Service in Nigeria (hereinafter referred to as “Showmax”). The Shikini Campaign

Sign up to Showmax at https://www.showmax.com and purchase a 1 (one) month Showmax Entertainment (Mobile) Subscription Product for the price of N1000 (one thousand Naira) or a 1 (one) month Showmax Entertainment (All Devices) Subscription Product for N2000 (All Devices). General information

1. The Shikini Campaign Period is 28 February 2025 until 31 March 2025.

2. The Shikini Campaign is available in Nigeria only.

3. The Shikini Campaign is a time-limited offer that applies within the Campaign Period that is available to eligible customers at the set prices.

4. Showmax Subscription Products: Showmax Entertainment Mobile available only at the price of N1000 or Showmax Entertainment All Devices available only at the price of N2000.

5. Eligible customers can purchase 1 (one) month’s subscription period of the selected Showmax Subscription Products.

6. Eligible customers will not get a free Showmax Service trial as part of Shikini Campaign.

7. The Shikini Campaign applies to customers using any payment methods that Showmax has available on the website.

Customer eligibility

1. Customers who have never used or subscribed to the Showmax Service before the Shikini Campaign.

2. Existing Showmax Service customers who do not have an active subscription to the Showmax Service.

Campaign limitations

1. Existing customers who have an active subscription to any Showmax Subscription immediately before the commencement of the Shikini Campaign are not eligible to participate.

2. Customer can only buy one Shikini Campaign Subscription Product per customer for the Campaign Period.

3. Customers are only eligible for this Shikini Campaign via the dedicated Shikini Campaign journey provided within the communication from Showmax and via the country level showmax.com welcome pages.

Pricing and payments

1. Certain payment methods do not support the opt-out option from the recurring payments. In such cases to disable monthly recurring payments Customers are required to cancel their subscription before the second anniversary of the monthly billing (before the end of the Campaign Period).

2. Subscription pricing is subject to change; as such any change in the pricing payable for any Showmax Subscription Product shall be brought to the customer’s attention on the payment page before the conclusion of their transaction.

Miscellaneous

1. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to determine whether you are eligible for this Shikini Campaign.

2. Unless otherwise stated, Showmax Terms and Conditions shall prevail over the Shikini Campaign Terms and shall remain in full force and effect in relation to the use and access of the Showmax service.

3. In the case of a discrepancy between these Shikini Campaign Terms in relation to the purchase of the select Showmax Subscription Products during the Campaign Period, and Showmax Terms and Conditions, the Shikini Campaign Terms will prevail.

4. Unless otherwise extended, this version of the Shikini Campaign Terms applies for the Campaign Period only.

5. We reserve the right at any time and for any reason to terminate or extend the Shikini Campaign.

Privacy

1. “Personal Data” means personal identifiable information as prescribed in the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 which includes but is not limited to name, address, phone number, identification number, location data.

2. Showmax is required by law to collect certain Personal Data in order to provide you with access to the Shikini Campaign as well as to enable you to complete the signing-up process on the Showmax Service.

3. Apart from the legal obligation mentioned above, Showmax will also need to collect your Personal Data for the fulfilment of our obligations to you in terms of the Agreement. Please note that although this is voluntary, without your Personal Data we will not be able to provide you with the Shikini Campaign.

4. We are committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of the information we collect from you. Our Privacy Policy as shown at https://www.showmax.com/privacy as updated from time to time, explains how we treat your Personal Data, who we share your information with, and measures taken to protect your privacy when you use our Showmax Service.

Minors

When registering a minor as a Showmax subscriber, a person with parental authority must open and maintain an account in their name for and on behalf of the minor. For all purposes, a person with parental authority shall include the birth parents of a minor, legal guardian or other person who can demonstrate legitimate authority over the minor’s affairs.
