As Tariq St. Patrick begins his new life at Stansfield University, he's torn between two worlds, living his life as a normal college kid or doing what she taught him.
Haunted by the legacy of his father, Tariq tries to understand who James St. Patrick was to the people in his life. Tasha is concerned with her son's path.
Tariq struggles with the weight of providing for his mother's mounting legal defence while juggling the rigours of Ivy League life.
After Monet's agreed to do business with him, Tariq initiates his play to control the drug market on campus. Davis takes aim at Saxe in defense of her case.
On Tariq's 18th birthday, Saxe brings him news that could blow up Tasha's case; Tariq is concerned about Brayden's budding relationship putting their business in danger.
Tariq's hands are tied, fearing that fully letting Brayden in on their arrangement with the Tejadas has put him on a violent collision course with Cane. Monet lays down the law.
As the heat is turned up on campus, Tariq isn't trying to be left in the cold with Lauren. Davis and Saxe land on an ideal witness to achieve their joint plan in Tasha's case.

Desperate, Tariq will do whatever it takes to clear his mother. As Saxe aims to finally get a St. Patrick behind bars, Tasha questions Davis's tactics, worried it will hurt her family.
