Bheki spies for Samson while Mandla must quickly solve his pirate problems. Iris preys on Jabu's vulnerability in the Valley. Skhaleni and S'bu struggle to reach an understanding.

Mkabayi returns to Soweto to deal with S'bu and Samson. Upon seeing each other again, S'bu and Thandeka's flame reignites. Iris is annoyed to learn that Mkabayi is checking up on her, whilst Buhle witnesses something she was not supposed to.

When Thandeka receives a shocking letter, it turns her world upside down and leaves S'bu bitterly disappointed. News of the tender leaves Jackson with high hopes, whilst Mkabayi and Iris continue to butt heads.

S'bu is devastated when he sees Joe Jo leaving the house the next morning, presuming that he slept with Thandeka. Iris causes consternation when she announces that Jackson will be moving in, and Mkabayi is thwarted at the UTA meeting. In the aftermath, Samson reveals his sinister plans to Mandla.

Mkabayi sends Sandile to Bheki, to get his money. Jabu has some success with a new track. Thandeka lets S'bu believe she and Joe Jo had sex. In the valley, the wives start a business.

Bheki fears for his life, and makes an alliance with Mkabayi to take Samson down. Jabu tries to keep a lid on his song, but it goes viral and he draws more attention than he's wanted to. Thandeka sees Joe Jo for who he really is.

Samson gets shot under peculiar circumstances. Jabu falls deeper and deeper into the web of his own deception, but comes up with a cheap way to get Mdu off his back. Thandeka breaks up with Joe Jo, and tensions rise between Jackson and Pam, but Jackson is in the money so he and Iris are flying.

Bheki's lifeless body is discovered and Mkabayi is the prime suspect. Joe Jo becomes violent with Thandeka, and S'bu rescues her. Ntandane hopes to give Buhle the time of her life, in Iris' room. Mimi gets confirmation that the Booysens' car accident and Mpiyakhe's are linked.

News of Bheki's death spreads. Fezile convinces MK to lie to the police, in order to buy them time to clear her name. With the tender announcement nearing, Jackson proposes to Iris. Mdu arrives in JHB, causing Jabu to fret. Shadrack suspects that Lerato might have been lying to him.

Fezile discovers that the police have an eyewitness who places MK at the scene of Bheki's death. Iris accepts Jackson's proposal. Pam and Iris make peace. Mdu moves into Jabu's room. Wiseman suggests that Shadrack snoop through Lerato's phone.

Samson scrambles to take control of the UTA, while Mimi finds evidence placing a woman at the scene of Bheki's murder. Jackson puts his stamp on the house, irking Thandeka. Iris still has not announced her engagement to Jackson. Jabu negotiates a 50/50 split of profits with Mdu.

Fezile takes matters into his own hands, while MK undergoes an interrogation. Iris reaches out to Thandeka, and prepares for the big dinner with Glenn. Mdu catches Jabu in a lie, and uses that to leverage a greater percentage of the track profits.
