    Episódio 1 - 60 Minutos
    Iraq, 1979. Deputy president Saddam Hussein overthrows president al-Bakr and orders his half-brother to initiate a bloody purge of the Ba-ath party leadership. Saddam himself executes his closest friend and ally as a show of strength. He takes his country into the Iran-Iraq war and begins an affair with a married school teacher. After narrowly surviving an assassination attempt, an entire city is razed in retribution.

    Iraq, 1988. Tension rises in the Hussein household when Saddam takes a second wife, leading his son Uday to lose control and beat a man to death. Saddam has him arrested l. Meanwhile, Kuwait's upsurge in oil output challenges future Iraqi prosperity, and Hussein Kamel, spotting an opportunity to rise within Saddam's inner circle, begins to sow mistrust between Saddam and his popular brother-in-law.

    Iraq, 1995. Iraq survives the Gulf War but is crippled economically, with the UN refusing to lift sanctions unless Saddam co-operates with their weapons inspectors. Saddam insists he has nothing to hide, resulting in a stand-off between him and the Un's chief inspector. Saddam shows signs that he is becoming unstable, as he claims to be a descendant of Mohammed and has the Koran written in his own blood.

    Episódio 4 - 57 Minutos
    Iraq, 2003: Western coalition forces invade Iraq, forcing Saddam to go into hiding in rural Tikrit, while his daughters, grandchildren and wife flee to Syria. Uday, Qusay and eldest grandson Mustapha take refuge at a relative's house in Baghdad, but disloyalty leads to their deaths. Saddam broadcasts messages from his hideout, insisting Iraqi people resist the invaders, but the net is closing in on the dictator.
