Faced with betrayal and rejection from her family, the wandering daughter of the Obutu King's concubine fights to prove herself a valiant princess worthy of an inheritance.

Dode infiltrates the Kingdom of Akra under the guise of a cloth trader and weaves her way to the corridors of power using her flaming persona, resilience, wits, and brawn.
