A buff drop, brutal challenge and serious injury create turmoil on the Sunshine Coast. But a twist also awaits the pre-and post-mergers at the tribe swap.

At both tribes, the castaways in the minority group must devise a plan to stay in the game, but it can only work if someone flips to their side.

There is a smouldering dragon, a slimy snake, and a wannabe goat among the ruthless returnee castaways, and dirty play might mess up sweet victory at the challenge.

The writing is on the wall for the castaways in the minority on both tribes, but these smart returning players will fight until the bitter end to keep their torches burning.

Both tribes will go to Tribal Council, but this is not the only plot twist that complicates matters for the castaways in the crucial days leading up to merge.

Much information has to be shared to send someone home, but it gets tricky when it can only be done in whispers at Tribal Council.

The castaways have to ensure their enemies don't snuff their torches, but having too many friends can also be dangerous, especially if they are on opposite alliances.

With ten players remaining, it should be smooth sailing for the majority alliance, but if all hands are not on deck in stormy waters, anyone's life could be in danger.

The wheels are turning on the Sunshine Coast. One castaway drives off in a brand-new car, and some tribemates shift gears to break up a longstanding alliance.

Friends in the game can become foes overnight, and when the first shots of betrayal are fired, revenge might be taken with guns blazing and bold moves.

The final seven castaways know it's time to backstab their closest allies, but a video call from home will rekindle their determination to become the Sole Survivor.

An idol clue found by three of the castaways creates chaos and drama, and some allies lock horns because of misinformation, disinformation and getting wires crossed.

The remaining six outcasts fight tooth and nail as nobody can be trusted. Day 32 also arrives, and the “Save The Date” Outpost visit involves a massive surprise.

The castaways bluff, babysit or betray their allies to make it to the end, but the jury will choose the Sole Survivor and their jaws drop at Tribal Council.
