Mpiyakhe's sleep is disturbed by dreams about the murder of Mkabayi's lover 20 years ago. Buhle and Ntandane like each other, romance is in the air. Thandeka is caught up in a violent confrontation and S'bu steps up to her rescue.

Bheki spies for Samson while Mandla must quickly solve his pirate problems. Iris preys on Jabu's vulnerability in the Valley. Skhaleni and S'bu struggle to reach an understanding.

When Thandeka receives a shocking letter, it turns her world upside down and leaves S'bu bitterly disappointed. News of the tender leaves Jackson with high hopes, whilst Mkabayi and Iris continue to butt heads.

S'bu is devastated when he sees Joe Jo leaving the house the next morning, presuming that he slept with Thandeka. Iris causes consternation when she announces that Jackson will be moving in, and Mkabayi is thwarted at the UTA meeting. In the aftermath, Samson reveals his sinister plans to Mandla.

Samson gets shot under peculiar circumstances. Jabu falls deeper and deeper into the web of his own deception, but comes up with a cheap way to get Mdu off his back. Thandeka breaks up with Joe Jo, and tensions rise between Jackson and Pam, but Jackson is in the money so he and Iris are flying.
Bheki's lifeless body is discovered and Mkabayi is the prime suspect. Joe Jo becomes violent with Thandeka, and S'bu rescues her. Ntandane hopes to give Buhle the time of her life, in Iris' room. Mimi gets confirmation that the Booysens' car accident and Mpiyakhe's are linked.
News of Bheki's death spreads. Fezile convinces MK to lie to the police, in order to buy them time to clear her name. With the tender announcement nearing, Jackson proposes to Iris. Mdu arrives in JHB, causing Jabu to fret. Shadrack suspects that Lerato might have been lying to him.
