In Schoemanskloof, Mariette Joubert shows us her ox-wagon collection, before Smangaliso Londolozi, a tour guide, takes us deep into the Sudwala Caves.
In the Alkmaar area, we meet 'padstal' royalty Gert and Miemie Nel, and in Mbombela, dr Billy Magagula tells us about his Mbombela Women's Clinic, an essential service to Lowveld women.
In Mbombela, crematorium owner Magda Arnold shares her zest for life. The couple Jacques Lombard and Claud Kruger also tell us more about their lives and plans for the future.
Charles Burger, a helicopter firefighter in White River, gives us wings, and we visit Christine Simelane in Ka-Nyamazane, who moves mountains to promote reading in her community.
In Marloth Park, carnivore scientist Gerrie Camacho shares his passion for wildlife conservation. Then we meet LGBTQI activist Lydia Sono in Schoemansdal, where she combats discrimination.
We're halfway through our Lowveld journey! In Barberton we chat to Nomfundo Nkosi, a teacher, and then meet the lithographers Mark Attwood and Jacky Tsila in White River.
Staying in White River, we go to the movies with Vicky Venter, co-owner of a cinema. Then we put on our trainers for a netball match with Faith Motau in Mbombela.
We dedicate an episode to diverse Lowveld art. We first meet Linda Leibach, a miniature furniture maker in Sabie, and then the multimedia artist Griet van der Meulen in Graskop.
Dr Wynand Uys, son of legendary filmmaker Jamie Uys, shows us Jonkmanspruit, and Ram Lakshman, a restaurant owner, tell us about his journey from India to Hoedspruit.
In Hoedspruit, chef Vandi Pienaar makes our mouths water! We also meet Zebedius Maile, a farmer, who inspires us to question who we are and what we want to achieve in life.
Dr Michelle Henley, an elephant researcher, shares what elephants can teach us about ubuntu. And ever heard about gold panning? In Pilgrim's Rest, Sanjay Singh introduces us to the sport.
In the last episode of Laeveldbewoners, things get spooky with tour guide Sharon Green in Pilgrim's Rest. Our Lowveld tour then ends in Lydenburg, where we visit the actor Ian Roberts.
