Thomas is surprised at how normal things are at the Fransen since Ferdie married his mother… then he realises that Ferdie has always treated him like a son, and this drives him up the walls.
When Ferdie learns that Stephano is also running for Mayor, it sparks a new debate between the old rivals. A demanding guest with eccentric taste arrives at the hotel.
Ferdie and Brenda try to get the OUWROSS-party off the ground by appointing ward candidates and choosing a campaign theme that will cement his legacy in Fransenburg.
The Fransen is torn apart when Jony and Malanie realises that there is discrimination against woman. Ferdie and Thomas have a rough time to stop a protest action before it gets out of hand.
Danny must learn how to drive in order to convince Thomas to hire him as his Uber driver. In the meantime, Thomas's attention is distracted by a Tinder match. Jony confronts Malanie.
The Fransen sponsors a four-ball so that Ferdie can hook a benefactor for his political party. Jaap and Jony must ensure that Ferdie doesn't give the sponsor cold feet.
Danny is pulled into a scam called Batcoin. Thomas and Jony lock themselves in the stair closet against their will, and Thomas lets slip that Jony doesn't know how to kiss.
After Ferdie lies himself into a corner, everyone must help Danny to finally finish his matric. Jaap has his hands full with a boisterous Tasha, who recently discovered that he is rich.
Thomas and Jony revisit their romantic past when a misunderstanding threatens the newfound friendship. Brenda gets Dok to remove her wisdom tooth.
Ferdie's campaign goes from strength to strength until an event from his past tips the apple cart. Thomas's brother comes for a visit and tries his luck with Jony.
The staff's favourite guests, Hettie and Jan, arrives at the Fransen. When Jan passes away, Hettie convinces Danny to escort her around the hotel, with Jan's corpse. Ami arrives at the hotel.
The Fransen is a hive of activity during dress rehearsals for Danny's play. Danny is confronted with the biggest lie of his life when two very special guests arrive.
The day of Danny's play and Ferdie's mayor debate dawns. The staff tries to convince Ferdie to be in the play when Nadia injures herself.
- Ferdie Kruger is the manager of boutique hotel The Fransen. The Lourier hotel group buys this rough diamond as their latest acquisition and sends Thomas from the head office to monitor the transition.
